- Army Flying Museum – Worked with the museum team during the final year to support the evaluation of their NLHF funded project to transform the Army
Flying Museum. Work included reviewing the evaluation framework, data collection to date and
evaluation methodologies used. Training, briefing and reflection sessions will be run with staff. Observation sessions and impact interviews with audiences and stakeholders were carried out. The
final evaluation report includes a robust analysis of all available data to measure the impact of the project against its original objectives.
- University of Bristol – Worked with the Theatre Collection and Special Collections to deliver a stage one audience development plan for the collections as the first step towards operating a more shared and public facing
service as a part of the new University Library’s Centre for Cultural Collections. Project work included: understanding internal context and project ambition, scoping and profiling current audiences,
exploring wider strategic context and opportunities regionally and nationally, exploring potential new users and partners, review of current best practice exemplars in the sector and producing a
summary report of findings and future recommendations.
- Harewood House Trust –
Delivered a review of current learning and engagement provision which identified opportunities and potential for further development and impact leading to a revised and updated Learning Vision
and Strategy for the organisation. Supported the team on developing an engagement and learning workplan for 20/2021 prioritising and identifying engagement activity to deliver in the light of social
distancing constraints.
- Hampshire Cultural Trust –
Worked as part of a team to deliver Culture: Impact, an organisational development programme to embed tailored best practice approaches to social impact measurement, community engagement, and
fundraising across HCT community activities. Specifically offering specialist support around community engagement carrying out an audit of internal current practice, identifying external best
practice and creating a tailored framework and toolkit with identified community engagement methodologies to be trialled by a group of 19 managers across venues.
- Old Royal Naval College – Worked with the Public Engagement Directorate to facilitate strategic planning to develop a new Learning and Community Strategy. Involved carrying out
benchmarking, comparator analysis and heritage sector and learning policy and practice nationally and regionally alongside a number of workshops with internal team.
- Kimmeridge Fossil Museum - Worked with the curator and Exhibition Designers to develop story narrative, case layouts and engaging and visually led gallery texts for a new fossil
museum in Kimmeridge displaying the important Steve Etches Collection.
- Winchester Cathedral - Project management and developmental support to deliver their £12 million HLF project particularly focussing on interpretation development, volunteer
development and managing change Interpretation development involved participation in a series of storyteller workshops particular championing the needs of audiences and active participation of target
audiences in the design process. Volunteer development involved collaborative working with staff and volunteers to produce a suite of new volunteer material including a handbook and volunteer role
descriptions, as well as advising on the implementation of new recruitment and training infrastructure for volunteers.
- National Museums Northern Ireland - Development of a joined up learning framework to deliver a suite of learning resources, both in gallery and online for a range of learners
from schools to community groups. Development of a secondary school self-guided visit investigative tool for gallery learning, online active enquiries based on sources and online family
resources.
